Are you an Imposter? Or the Real Thing?

2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

We live in a culture in this western civilization where everyone wants to be a Christian. They want the benefits of Christianity meaning Fire Insurance but do not take the other half of the bargain. What is the other part you ask? You say, "Joel Osteen never mentioned the other part." We will get to this later. Christianity is now all inclusive. People like Beyonce Knowles, Usher Raymond, Keisha Cole, and many others are saying, "We are Christians too." You see they hate the consequences of sin but not the sin itself. A true Christian has a new relationship with God and also a new one with sin itself. Based on scripture this is progressive. Let me explain. Once you are saved, this means that Christ has selected you before the foundation of the Earth. He begins to do a life long work in you drawing you to the likeness of Christ. Progressive meaning as you grow in grace and knowledge of Christ, He will reveal His will and His desires become your desires and this you discover through the studying and reading of His Word along with being around true believers.

Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-- 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

From the start both professing Christians may look similar and they both appear to have comfort but the real test comes in the years or months after they confess their belief in Christ. We cannot get around unbelievers; they will even dwell amongst us in churches. Our goal is to live it among them and hopefully that will lead them to Christ and put the traditions of men down. I know a lot of people who say they are Christians and when they look at the people in the Bible they see a huge contrast and they say, "You ain't got to do all that" " Why do you call out names" "There is nothing wrong with me buying my son or daughter Destiny's Child, Jamie Foxx, and other worldly music, we are still Christians." Let's get one thing straight, I am not against secular music and even enjoy some of it. The names I listed above are not OK because they are singing and promoting the very things that God hates and that is sin.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.

1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world.

Every sin can be identified in this three listed in 1 John 2:16. Jesus was tempted in these same three areas while he was fasting and being tested by Satan.

Matthew 13:24 Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. 25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. 26 When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. 27 "The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?' 28 "'An enemy did this,' he replied. "The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?' 29 "'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'"

The Relinquishing of Sound Doctrine

The Relinquishing of Sound Doctrine

The Deceiver (2 John 1:7-9)
7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may receive a full reward. 9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.

The True Doctrine 1 (John 7:14-36)
14 Now about the middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. 15 And the Jews marveled, saying, "How does this Man know letters, having never studied?" 16 Jesus answered them and said, "My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me. 17 If anyone wants to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. 18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in
Him.

At a time in my walk with the Shepherd and Overseer of my soul I could not tell you nor did I care what sound doctrine was all about. Sound Doctrine may be mentioned in the typical charismatic or seeker sensitive churches but not thoroughly examined. You may ask, “What is Sound Doctrine and how detrimental to the Body of Christ is it?” Pastor John E. Coleman personally interviewed Frederick Price. Mr. Price would tell you that, “Doctrine is what screwed up the Church in the first place” Is this true? Unlike some of the popular professing Christians, I will hold fast to God’s infallible Word and say no.

True Doctrine 2 (1 Timothy 4:6-16)
6 If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed.

I will not make any assumptions in defining sound doctrine, to some it may be apparent, and to others it may not. What is sound doctrine? Biblically speaking sound is defined as following a systematic pattern without any defect in logic or in other words the Bible must be harmonious within itself. Now that definition in and of itself just cancelled out the majority of the televangelist that you have become accustomed to listening to on TBN, Daystar, and a slew of other heretical so called Christian stations. There are a few sound preachers that air on these stations; maybe a small percentage but that would be pushing it.

Doctrine is something that is taught or a group of collective teachings, also defined as a rule or principle of law, especially when established by precedent. The Bible itself is sound doctrine. This is why Paul mentioned at least five times in the books of Timothy and Titus to adhere to sound doctrine. Paul without a shadow of a doubt understood that ravenous wolves would come in and distort the truth and Paul wrote about this in the book of Galatians. If Apostle Paul was so tenacious about this one thing why do we sit back in the church and act as if it is no issue.

Do you recall when you were a teenager or little kid and someone had the temerity to talk about your mother or father? At the drop of a hat we were ready to defend the name of our parents and some of your will even do this now. Should we not be this zealous for the Lord? I am somewhat ashamed at how Christians avoid opportunities to witness for the Lord because they do not want to be called controversial or rebellious. I would not encourage those traits but think for a minute…. Are we not called out from the world? Aren’t we supposed to be ambassadors in a foreign land? Then why are we so concerned about being everyone’s friend verses giving the people what they need and that is truth. I like most of you, wrestle with my flesh and sometimes-really most of the time doing what is righteous does not feel good on the outside. It is almost as if the majority of the things that are good for you end up being the most difficult.

Isn’t it our God given duty to defend the Faith that Christ our Savior died for? How about when we hear about charlatans who say they have been to Heaven or Hell and back and we ignorantly do not contest their claims even though they contradict scripture. What is the difference between Jesse Duplantis and Joseph Smith or Creflo Dollar and Charles Taze Russell? There is none because they all veer a mile away from the orthodox foundational teachings that were laid by Christ and the Apostles. All heresy streams from extra-Biblical emotional subjective experiences.

As I write this article you know and I know that America’s Christianity(or the typical church-of course their are exceptions) is as shallow as Joel Osteen’s theology. We have been duped!!! Here is the test of legitimacy. A great preacher named Paul Washer once said, "Have Joel Osteen, T. D. Jakes, or any other prosperity preachers go to the jungles of Peru like I do and try preaching that prosperity mess and see what happens." The truth is that we know that these so called preachers do not preach the whole counsel of God; would that not be defined as a lie? When bringing forth the Gospel of Jesus Christ we must understand that God is totally sovereign and the truth of the Gospel is something supernatural that totally supersedes all socioeconomic hang-ups in our culture. Some of us choose our churches based on the style of music instead of the accuracy of the Gospel being preached. The majority of the Gospel music we hear today is based on God doing something for us instead of pointing us to our depravity and total dependence on the Holy Spirit and the washing of the Word to continue what God started in us. We are to speak as Paul did.

(Acts 20:27)
For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

With all the television shows that desensitize us to the reality of our sin and our total depravity, we have lost sight of the holiness of our Righteous God. How can we sit in our seats at the theater and laugh at the very things that God hates? Are we not to love the things that God loves and hate what He hates? All the things that I am mentioning come from a contorted view of the importance of adhering to sound doctrine. We don’t ask questions like, “What does the Lord think about this?” The charlatans in the pulpit have set our affections on the things of this world rather than on spiritual things of eternal significance. Honestly all the blame cannot be put on the shallow preaching, for they do exactly what scripture says they will do. This can be attributed to people wanting to have their ears tickled and just plain not wanting to hear the truth of the Gospel. Do we really believe what Peter repeated to us from the book of Isaiah?

Examine Yourself (1 Peter 1:24-25)
24 For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, 25 but the word of the Lord stands forever."

Please thoroughly examine yourselves to see if you are really in the Faith as Paul warns us to do in II Corinthians 13:5. Listen, we spend all life doing everything else and investing time in temporal things. Take a week or longer and examine if you are a true Christian. Separate yourself from the carnal things of this world for a minute and read 1 John to see where your affections are set. This is so much more than saying a sinner’s prayer at the altar, which is not Biblical anyway. Read Matthew 24 & 25 this confirms that this is more than tongue aerobics or an emotional frenzy. The reality of eternity may be closer than we think.

The Chastening Of The Lord.

Hebrews 12:5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, 6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." 7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. 12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 13 "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. 14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.

In this carnal and wicked world it is so difficult to see eternity from our current state sometimes. I pray at least a couple of times week for the Lord to keep eternity before my eyes because it is so simple to get caught up with the deceitfulness of this world. With all the personalities that I come in contact with at the supermarket, barbershop, workplace, and just everyday life. I love Him Love Him Love Him Love Him Love Him. WHO? The one and only "I AM" for he rescued me from the temporal things of this world. I owe HIM my all. Nothing is too great for the Lord Jesus Christ. My desire is to have all my affections set on HIM.

Why do I love the Lord so? One reason is that I can rejoice in my suffering because I know that the Lord chastens me for my good. The scripture above makes the allegory that when our earthly fathers chasten us and their chastening is not perfect; but the Lord's chastening is perfect and geared to get us in preparation to be in the presence of Holiness. There in nothing we can do to partake in this in eternity but to put on the cloak of Jesus Christ' righteousness. This comes through the Lord Jesus Christ opening our heart for repentance and taking off the blinders that are placed on our eyes by the Deceiver.

Of course chastening at the time is not pleasant, but I can only rejoice in the fact that this almost is another version of the promise to come.

2 Corinthians 1:21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Ephesians 1:11 In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.

You see we have a deposit as believers. That deposit is the Holy Spirit. This confirms what Christ said in

John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.

By this we have stamped on us 3 things.

1) God's Authorship or ownership.

2) Authenticity of the believer.

3) Divine Protection.

I just watched a movie called "The Pursuit of Happiness" and I actually thought it was a darn good movie. It was about Will Smith, his son, and wife. The wife left him because she was extremely selfish and carnal and Will was patient and was just running into a lot of brick walls. This would have been a better movie I think if he found his "Happiness" in Christ alone. That would be too extreme right. I still liked it and I don't know why because after thinking about it Will only found happiness in the success according to the world. They need to make a sequel called "Happiness Never Obtained because I lacked Christ" Or how about "The Rich Man and Lazarus" Oops, already done. In essence true happiness is only found in the Lord, not in temporal things. Moses could have chose to be happy for a season but rather chose to be obedient to Christ-check him out...

Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.

In essence, we know we do not enjoy chastening or suffering but it brings about good in the believers life. Rejoice in the future promise and do not become entangled with the carnal affairs of the world. Always keep an eternal perspective.

How do you define a False Prophet? Pt 1

A False prophet is a label given to a person who is viewed as illegitimately claiming charismatic authority within a religious group. The individual may be seen as one who falsely claims the gift of prophecy. Examples of false prophets. Oral Robers, Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn, Jim Jones, Paul Crouch, Kim Clement. If these names rub you the wrong way please do not be offended. Just do your research, even the world has factual information regarding these charlatans so it is about time the church wakes up.

Deuteronomy 13: 1 If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give thee a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of dreams: for Jehovah your God proveth you, to know whether ye love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after Jehovah your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he hath spoken rebellion against Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage, to draw thee aside out of the way which Jehovah thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee.

Deuteronomy 18:20 But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die. 21 And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken? 22 when a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah hath not spoken: the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him.

About 2 weeks ago I gave a copy of the newspaper that I write for to a co-worker. She read my article on "The Relinquishing of Sound Doctrine" and she said that I must in a cult. I asked for an explanation and she could not provide me with one. She proceeded to ask me what is a False Prophet. I said, "someone who gives false prophecies". I referenced the above scriptures. She also asked me did I think that her pastor(my previous pastor) was a false prophet, I said no. I did not know of any false prophecies that he had spewed from his mouth. I did tell her he listens to false prophets such as Kenneth Copeland, Kim Clement, Creflo Dollar, Paula White, and many more. So I can't understand how he could hear from God and be wrong about so many of these teachers. He says he audibly hears from God on so many other things, has God forgot to mention this while he was talking to you, I think not.

The scriptures in Deuteronomy13 and 18 were talking to the Israelites obviously, but the lessons that God told them very much are relevant today especially. For example in Exodus 7-10 miraculous signs were never meant to be a sign of truth, whether a dreamer or sorcerer's dream came true; it was irrelevant if it contradicted a command of God. Also mentioned is the fact that God was testing them to see the true disposition of their hearts. In the 18th chapter Moses makes it plain that when they give false prophecies and some do not come true, they have not spoken from the Lord. By this passage we can see that some of the false prophets prophecies would come true but the true prophet according to scripture is 100% accurate.

Jeremiah 23:16 Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they teach you vanity; they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Jehovah. 17 They say continually unto them that despise me, Jehovah hath said, Ye shall have peace; and unto every one that walketh in the stubbornness of his own heart they say, No evil shall come upon you. 18 For who hath stood in the council of Jehovah, that he should perceive and hear his word? who hath marked my word, and heard it? 19 Behold, the tempest of Jehovah, [even his] wrath, is gone forth, yea, a whirling tempest: it shall burst upon the head of the wicked. 20 The anger of Jehovah shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall understand it perfectly. 21 I sent not these prophets, yet they ran: I spake not unto them, yet they prophesied. 22 But if they had stood in my council, then had they caused my people to hear my words, and had turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. 23 Am I a God at hand, saith Jehovah, and not a God afar off? 24 Can any hide himself in secret places so that I shall not see him? saith Jehovah. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith Jehovah. 25 I have heard what the prophets have said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart? 27 that think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgat my name for Baal. 28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat? saith Jehovah. 29 Is not my word like fire? saith Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, that steal my words every one from his neighbor. 31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith Jehovah, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. 32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy lying dreams, saith Jehovah, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I sent them not, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, saith Jehovah.

Wow is all I can say. Jeremiah came on the scene about 100 years after Isaiah and the people thought that Jeremiah was false because they misunderstood the time frame for which Isaiah was speaking of concerning the forth coming peace. There were also many many false prophets telling the people of Jeremiah's day saying peace peace when there was no forth coming peace because the people were wicked and were going to experience the judgement of a Righteous God. Doesn't that sound like today a little? All these false prophets saying they heard a word from God, but it does not line up with scripture. "I had a dream and I want to write a book about it" "I have been to Heaven and Hell and back" This contradicts Luke 16.

I just wanted to define this for those who wonder why we must distinguish ourselves from the insidiousness that we see in the church. I am almost ashamed when people see me carry my Bible and the first people they think about are TD Jakes, Creflo, Fred Price, Eddie Long, and so many others, and they might even start to make fun and jump up and down or speak in tongues. This how they see the church. We need to be authentic in our walk. The world can see the phoniness of the so called church. Take heed to Paul's warning

Acts 20:31
So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.

What is Calvinism and Why is it Important?

My reason for writing this is for people who will never hear of this term in the typical church, whether it be seeker sensitive or Charismatic, Pentecostal or Baptist, Presbyterian or Lutheran. The Lord has graciously exposed me to this essential theological term and many others need to be exposed to it as well. A swift rebuke for myself; When you think you have arrived, their is always so much more to obtain from the endless wisdom of a infinite God. I chase wisdom with a passion and we should as believers. My goal is to be sound doctrinally in all areas of Christendom. In learning about this, I thank God more and more because he pulled me out of heresy, and the thing is that we as a people(not just blacks but humans) forget our history and ignorantly we are bound to repeat it. Do you think Jehovah Witnesses, Mormons, Word Of Faith, Baha'i Faith, and many others just arrived? No they are stemmed from a lineage of Heretical doctrines that have just resurfaced. I know many of you may already know this truth, if so sorry to bore you. God Bless.

First let me acknowledge that Calvin was a mere man and we are not to esteem him anymore than the average man. Yes he was the vessel God used to expound this doctrine(monergism) and GOD bless him for that, but he was just the clay and not the Potter. We acknowledge this in reverence for the Giver of all enlightenment and wisdom.

John Calvin was born (July 10, 1509May 27, 1564) was a French Protestant theologian during the Protestant Reformation and was a central developer of the system of Christian theology called Calvinism or Reformed theology. Calvinism was actually started to refute the claims of Jacobus Arminius. Mr. Arminius had 5 points of arminianism and that is where the 5 points of Calvinism came in to play to refute this teaching. I am not going to get into the teachings in detail of arminianism honestly because I have not done the research, don't fret; because knowledge and wisdom is progressive in the life of the Christian.

Why is this important?
1) If we do not know our history we almost inevitably will repeat it.
2) Calvinism shapes the way we view our relationship and the distinctiveness of a Holy God.
3) It shapes the way we view our self and people who are unregenerate.
4) It allows us to view evangelism properly and one cannot make true progress in sanctification.
5) Most importantly without this truth, people are more susceptible to error.
6) All Truth of any kind is beneficial in the life of a Christian.

5 Points if Calvinism. TULIP

T-Total Depravity- Romans 3:10"There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one."

U-Unconditional Election-Romans 9:11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad--in order that God's purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls--she was told, "The older will serve the younger." 13 Just as it is written: "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."

Limited Atonement-John 6:37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.

I-Irresistible Grace-2Peter 3:9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

P-Perseverance and Preservation of the Saints-Romans 8:30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

I know this was brief but I just wanted to wet the appetite to those of you who are ignorant to this truth. Let us get a little history of the Faith that we proclaim.

Modern Day Judaizers. "Give ME Your Tithes"

2 Corinthians 8:12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have. 13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. 14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, 15 as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little."

2 Corinthians 9
7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Tithing is a non-essential when it comes to the faith. It only becomes an issue when charlatans try to make it an essential and try to superimpose their eisegesis of the text on Christians who have not matured in the Faith and try to manipulate them into thinking they are cursed with a curse. Before I dig into this I ask that you look at my links and read from George Greene's site and the article
listed before you try to rationalize from your limited understanding on this topic if this applies to you, Please. Thank you.

OK, how many times have your heard your silly little wolf(pastor) talk to you about paying your tithes? He will quote, (Malachi 3:8)"8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings." and out of ignorance you take on a false sense of conviction based on your pastors manipulation of the text. Now compare that Malachi 3 with(Galatians3)"10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." I can literally write a book on this topic since this was the first thing that the Lord showed me through his Word when I was coming out of the Word of Faith camp and have spent countless hours and about 18 months studying this topic. Their are 613 Levitical laws. Which other of them do you follow along with your modern day 10% tithe? Did you know that the Israelites gave 4 to 5 different tithes totalling more than 23.3%? Did you know that the Lord told the Israelites to eat their tithe? Deut 14 Does not the Bible say concerning Tithes that they are only to be paid to Aaron or the lineage of the priests? Is your pastor a direct descendant of Aaron? Who was the book of Malachi speaking to? This could be why Paul did not mention paying tithes in the New Testament. I am not going to attempt to answer all of these questions but I encourage you to seek the truth of the matter!!!

To tackle the first scriptures listed. Paul was speaking to the church of Corinth which was a gentile group. He wrote the majority of the New Testament and not once mentions a tithe. He speaks very clearly of the law and its purpose in the Book of Galatians.

The Purpose Galatians 3:19 What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come.

The Purpose Galatians 3:24 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. 26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Read on what
indulgences were about during the time of Martin Luther. You will find a startling resemblance to the modern day tithe and how we think we can purchase the blessing of God.

Before the Law The argument goes like this. Abraham and Jacob tithed and it was before the law, therefore we must as well. Their tithe was mandated or was it from the heart?
Abraham's was sincere and from the heart and Jacob was done out of selfishness. Was this something we should follow? Abraham gave nothing of his own. Where does it say for Christians that we are to follow this model?

Genesis 14:21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself." 22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, and have taken an oath 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the thong of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, 'I made Abram rich.' 24 I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me--to Aner, Eshcol and Mamre. Let them have their share."

Colossians 2:16
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

No I am not anti-tithing. I am pro-truth and the whole truth.

Acts 20:27
For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.

I encourage you to give to your church or anyway in which the Lord puts on your heart to do. I just pray that you are not manipulated give out of a false conviction or bad scripture exposition or lack thereof.

2 Corinthians 9:5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given.

2 Corinthians 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

What is Word Of Faith Doctrine?

I will explain what Word of Faith(WOF) doctrine is & why it is heretical without a shadow of a doubt. I will try to make this weighty matter brief as possible.

DISCLAIMER

*If you are in a Charismatic Pentecostal church, you need to read 1 of 3*

1. A Different Gospel--D.R. McConnell

2.Charismatic Chaos--John MacArthur Jr.

3.Christianity In Crisis--Hank Hanegraaf

"If I can confess it, I can possess it", "Name it Claim it", Speak those things that be not as though they were", "You have to speak those things."

These terms might sound spiffy or crafty to you, but the question is, "are they Biblical?" I will answer with a EMPHATIC NO!!!! Where did these terms come from? Are they new?

There is nothing new under the sun. These terms were started by a man named E.W. Kenyon. Who was he? E. W. Kenyon was a man who started of as a baptist preacher who began to intermingle with people who were in to what we would call positive thinking or new age thought. E. W. Kenyon thought he would mix the Christian faith with this new thought positive thinking. He began to read papers and books by Phineas P. Quimby . He enjoyed Quimby's material and thought it would mix well with Christianity. He became a great tool in the hands of satan to get us to where we are today with American Christendom.

The person that most pastor's will say is the father of this movement would be Kenneth Hagin Sr. or maybe even William Branahm. My old pastor looked up to this guy and so do so many others. Kenneth Hagin plagiarized almost verbatim E. W. Kenyon and this is documented clearly in, "A Different Gospel" and is a stone cold fact, read it for yourself. Kenneth Hagin claimed to get this information from God but in actuality got it from Kenyon the century before him. William Branahm-another false preacher and prophet would not even allow a black person to sit in the service while he was preaching. These seeker sensitive and charismatic church movements that we see so much of today are all spawned from this guys teachings.

Why is this wrong you might ask? It is wrong because they teach about another Jesus.

2 Corinthians 11:4
For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it!

Galatians 1: 6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

This is what Paul warned the Corinthians and the Galatians about here. A couple of examples of what most word of faith churches teach.

1. They make the Divine Son of God into a born-again man who had to die in Hell to pay the price for our treason.

2. They replace prayer with confession, and God's will with the manipulation of 'forces'.

3. They focus on self and the world instead of God and Heaven. It focuses on self and the world instead of God and Heaven.

(these reasons and more are located http://www.intotruth.org/wof/tract3.html)

These are only a couple of things that they believe and people can be easily deceived because we do not get in to the Word of the Living God. The church as we know it has become indoctrinated with this heresy. If you are in one of these churches I would recommend you leave. If you don't want to leave OK, stay but do not take lightly the things that are here. I am a Christian and stayed in my church for almost 2 years after God started to reveal these things to me rapidly. I liken it to "The Matrix" and taking that pill that Neo took, do you recall that movie. I sincerely prayed for the Truth and I thank him more and more each day that he showed His truth, I admonish you to seek the same. I will write more on this later--the rabbit hole gets deeper. God Bless in Christ

John 17:17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.
