Modern Day Judaizers. "Give ME Your Tithes"

2 Corinthians 8:12 For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have. 13 Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. 14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, 15 as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little."

2 Corinthians 9
7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Tithing is a non-essential when it comes to the faith. It only becomes an issue when charlatans try to make it an essential and try to superimpose their eisegesis of the text on Christians who have not matured in the Faith and try to manipulate them into thinking they are cursed with a curse. Before I dig into this I ask that you look at my links and read from George Greene's site and the article
listed before you try to rationalize from your limited understanding on this topic if this applies to you, Please. Thank you.

OK, how many times have your heard your silly little wolf(pastor) talk to you about paying your tithes? He will quote, (Malachi 3:8)"8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings." and out of ignorance you take on a false sense of conviction based on your pastors manipulation of the text. Now compare that Malachi 3 with(Galatians3)"10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." I can literally write a book on this topic since this was the first thing that the Lord showed me through his Word when I was coming out of the Word of Faith camp and have spent countless hours and about 18 months studying this topic. Their are 613 Levitical laws. Which other of them do you follow along with your modern day 10% tithe? Did you know that the Israelites gave 4 to 5 different tithes totalling more than 23.3%? Did you know that the Lord told the Israelites to eat their tithe? Deut 14 Does not the Bible say concerning Tithes that they are only to be paid to Aaron or the lineage of the priests? Is your pastor a direct descendant of Aaron? Who was the book of Malachi speaking to? This could be why Paul did not mention paying tithes in the New Testament. I am not going to attempt to answer all of these questions but I encourage you to seek the truth of the matter!!!

To tackle the first scriptures listed. Paul was speaking to the church of Corinth which was a gentile group. He wrote the majority of the New Testament and not once mentions a tithe. He speaks very clearly of the law and its purpose in the Book of Galatians.

The Purpose Galatians 3:19 What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come.

The Purpose Galatians 3:24 So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. 25 Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. 26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Read on what
indulgences were about during the time of Martin Luther. You will find a startling resemblance to the modern day tithe and how we think we can purchase the blessing of God.

Before the Law The argument goes like this. Abraham and Jacob tithed and it was before the law, therefore we must as well. Their tithe was mandated or was it from the heart?
Abraham's was sincere and from the heart and Jacob was done out of selfishness. Was this something we should follow? Abraham gave nothing of his own. Where does it say for Christians that we are to follow this model?

Genesis 14:21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself." 22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, and have taken an oath 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the thong of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, 'I made Abram rich.' 24 I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me--to Aner, Eshcol and Mamre. Let them have their share."

Colossians 2:16
Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

No I am not anti-tithing. I am pro-truth and the whole truth.

Acts 20:27
For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.

I encourage you to give to your church or anyway in which the Lord puts on your heart to do. I just pray that you are not manipulated give out of a false conviction or bad scripture exposition or lack thereof.

2 Corinthians 9:5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given.

2 Corinthians 9:7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

If your pastor tells you to tithe, give him the
